Play dough!

I was just so amazed that Charity could do such a good job on her name with play dough- I had to show it off for her. She's so smart! (It's official, she really did take half of my brain out with her when she was born :) jk).

Kelly made a cute Biiiiiiiig "K" and a cute face to go with it :)

I made Brad's "B", but he added the little blobs on the inside- very creative I thought- looks like block letters or something :)

My kids are just so cute :)
We'll get Luke's "L" when he's big enough to realize that the play dough tastes yucky!!

Scenic Route

This one is cool- it's a view from the road across the "ocean inlet". Just looks like a wide open valley or something.

This just looked really cool- looks like an island on top of a huge thing of ice! That's about how high the water was in the summer I think.
This is just where the water coming out of the side of the mountain has frozen. I think it looks awesome.
This is where the inlet is- just not too much water left. We couldn't decide if the chunks out there are ice or just rocks, but there was very little water around.
I took this one because you can see the little canyon in the sand made by the water receeding I assume.
In case you were wondering- we were going to the store on Saturday, and the kids fell asleep, so we decided to just go for a little drive before, and we ended up on the Seward Highway (our favorite drive). We haven't been down there since it snowed (I don't think we would have wanted to with the ice, snow and avalanches), but it was really pretty still! Anyway- just wanted to share some of these. As usual the photographs just don't do this place justice!

Hot Mamma

This is her thing! She puts a baby in the stroller, packs a bag (or two), and in this case she threw on her sunglasses- probably because of all the sun we've been seeing lately (we really have, I'm not being sarcastic :)). Then she keeps the stroller with her everywhere she goes, up and down stairs even (and that's not easy), pushing it all through the house. She's such a little mommy.

What a doll!

The Latest Thrill

It's been a while since we had straws- we rediscovered the fun of blowing milk bubbles. Can't beat that!

B-F-F!

This is Cherry and Kelz's favorite little friend from across the street. They watch to see when she gets home from day care so that they can call her to come over and play. They have fun together- it's cute!

How Sweet Is That!

Daddy and the little Monkey takin' a well-deserved snoozeroo!

The Ocean/ Ice Chunks

I just can't get enough of the ocean. We go to this spot at the end of Northern Lights by the airport and just sit and watch the ocean- we get to see the planes taking off too- that's Bubba's favorite part. You can see the ice in the water though- SO COOl!
Oh and by the way- Nate and I did catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights a little while ago while he was digging out the van from my poor backing out job. It was really pretty what we did see. I hope we see more before the winter is over. Everyone always asks about that- so I thought I would mention it.

Moose Sighting!

Hey, so I forgot to tell you- when we took the boys to the doctor the other day- there was a baby moose hanging around the front door. We had parked really far away from the entrance, had to walk a long way, and right as we were getting up to the door this guy in his car stopped and rolled down his window and said, "Hey, there's a moose right up there. Thought you'd wanna know since you've got all those kids with ya." Sure enough we looked up and probably no more than 10 feet away just around a van- there it was- a baby moose. We turned around and walked up the aisle next to where we were, and the moose was already on the other side of the parking lot. I didn't have my camera with me, but I don't think I would have had time to get a picture anyway. The kids kind of saw it, and thought it was pretty cool. I think if we had gotten closer to it Bubba's screaming about how cold it was would have only scared him away. Our highs this week are just above ZERO!! Crazy!

p.s. The boys are fine- they just have some viruses that are going around- they seem to be doing a lot better :)

More Pictures

I just wanted to put some more pictures on here :) They're just so cute! Cherry- on the swing at the school on our walk. Kelz- on our sled slide that we made in our front yard. Bubba- just being his funny self. And Little Monkey- this one's for "uncle Deve":) (So I can get him to look at my pictures again) Plus it's cute :). Everyone is getting better so far (fingers crossed).

I'm COMING!!!

I bought my tickets yesterday!! I'm really coming! I will arrive there at 7:30, Thursday morning (April 5th), and leave there on Wednesday, April 11th at about 8:00 in the morning. I am bringing Lukey with me but unfortunately I will not be bringing anyone else. :( I am SO excited to see my brother and his cute fiance tie the not though! That will be SO AWESOME!! If anyone wants to squeeze in some time to hang out with me over Easter weekend, I would LOVE to see you!! I can't wait!!

Our House- as requested

Mom wanted to see our place- here's the kitchen and the living room- we have a different (much nicer and FREE) couch now, but you get the general idea- these are obviously old pictures, I mean look at how low that snow is!! We've had like another 2 feet since then :) ....anyway, do these work for you mom? (Ya gotta love the picture on the screen saver :) It's Uncle Bob! )

Crazy Kids

Just Hangin' around!

Bubba Casanova

This is Brad with his little friend. She is about 18 months and she's in his nursery class, but he just adores her. He even says her name (better than most names he knows). We were babysitting her and he was kind of taking care of her the whole time. Holding her hand to walk upstairs and stuff- way cute!! I had to get a picture. He's such a sweetie.

Lukey

His thinking/eating look.

He's getting 3 teeth in the front on top at the same time, poor little guy.

My COOL snowflake!

This is the COOLEST thing I have ever made! It's really a work of art. MODERN art! I don't know how well you can see it (if you need to save it on to your computer and zoom in- please feel free to do so), but it has some pretty intricate designs here! The "T" in Nate's name doubles as the "I" in "I love Nate". Is that not the COOLEST THING EVER!!!! Sorry, I'm just so completely fascinated by how cool this turned out- I was really just making snowflakes with the kids and got a little carried away. It's so going in my scrapbook though- that's for sure!!! Please feel free to blow it up and frame it- I'm sure it will be worth millions someday, and it's not copyrighted yet!

Snow Removal

We live on a circle. In the middle of all the circles around here, there is a HUGE mountain of snow. So I guess this time of year they go around and scoop up all of the snow mountains in the middle of the circles, and take the snow in dump trucks to this REALLY huge mountain of snow and dump it off there. There were like 5 dump trucks lined up down our street to collect all the snow from the middle of our circle. So this is just a picture of them removing it. I'm sure most of you are thinking I'm crazy for putting this on here, but it really was quite a sight. Can't really do it justice in a picture. Different than back home anyway :)

News

So, I was kind of exaggerating about the whole not seeing the sun thing. We are actually getting quite a bit of sun now. The sun comes up around 8:45 and sets at about 5:45. I actually got to watch the sunset over the ocean last night- it was beautiful. It has been really cloudy all winter, and so it's been rare that we would see the sun even when it was up, but it's definitely not dark!! The snow reflects any light that does get through- it's actually really beautiful. And it's snowing today, so I am finally going to get a much needed picture of how beautiful it is when it snows!! I will put that on here as soon as I get it. But yeah, the sun is just a decoration up in the sky :). As for the family- we are doing great! Everyone keep us posted and updated on how things are going for you too!!!
Love you all!!

What we do for fun when there isn't any sun :)

We've resorted to this a few times in the last little while- pile up the pillows and jump! Bubba's favorite thing to do!! I get a kick out of it :)

Cute Girls

The girls have fun sledding down the slide Daddy made next to the driveway- it's kind of like a bobsled ramp :)

Sledding

We went to the park a few weeks ago- mommy and daddy pulled the kids in the sleds. And we went sledding!! It was dark, so the pictures aren't too great, but here's one :)

Moose Tracks on our walk

On one of our Sunny day walks we ran in to some moose tracks! That was pretty cool. No moose though :)

Happy Family

This is our family portrait we had taken before Christmas. It was not best picture of everyone, but it was free, so what can ya do :) I love family pictures.

My big bro is gettin MARRIED!! Wahoo!

Uncle B is getting married on April 6th to Miss SD. We are so excited!! THe Little Monkey and I will be flying home to the land of Zion for the festivities. I'm totally excited for that!! I hope they don't mind having their picture on my blog- they look SO CUTE together and are SO HAPPY!! I'm really excited to have her as a sister!

Little Monkey's Birthday

On February 3rd we celebrated the Little Monkey's First Birthday!! We had so much fun! His brother and sisters were so excited for him, and sang "Happy Birthday" to him ALL day! It was way cute. He got to eat his own train car, and clapped for himself. Then we all went NEON bowling. He got LOTS of presents- thanks everyone! And thanks for all the phone calls- he appreciated them I'm sure :) Happy First Birthday Little Monkey!

Little Monkey

Little Monkey just turned ONE! He's getting so big. He loves to throw balls, point (that's new- and it's way cute), fly toy planes around, and crawl- everywhere! He loves to eat as long as he has touched what is going in his mouth. He loves his mommy! He watches his big brother real closely, and loves to be the center of his siblings attention. He can clap, and is starting to walk around the furniture. He's so fun!

Bubba

Bubba is such a fun little boy. He loves to play, tease, and laugh. He's really independent these days and loves to do things on his own- "try!". He likes to be one of the big kids. He loves to play with cars and eat lots of "tweet"s. He's been a little bit of a momma's boy lately which is really fun for me, but he still has a good time wrestling with Daddy too. He loves going to his "cwaa" at church.

Kelz

Kelz is a sweet little mommy to everyone. She loves her babies, and taking care of them. She makes beds and homes for everything she plays with, and lets them use up more of her bed than she does. She is very strong-willed, and likes to have her way. She is excited for her birthday and party too, that's all we ever talk about :). She is really enjoying Primary, and being a big girl.

Cherry

Cherry is the best big sis. She loves to be in charge. She's way excited to turn five, have her birthday, and go to school. She loves dogs and being one. She is in the process of "growing her bangs out like mom". She is "totally into new stuff" :)!!
