Some Pictures

This is Charity with her new bike. She LOVES it!!!! She thought it was funny that we had to buy it with the training wheels when she didn't need them.

These kids totally LOVE dogs- we're totally gonna have to get one someday- this is Mango, the dog the neighbors were dogsitting, it got plenty of attention- that's for sure.

Charity and Kelly are so funny with their poses :) This is on one of our bike rides to Cheney Lake of course. I thought this picture would turn out better with the purple flowers :) oh well- the girls are cute.

Our First BBQ with Nate's New Grill

Bradley didn't get the yellow-shirt memo apparently.

Showing Brad the ropes

K, I totally just thought this picture showed Lukes pretty eyelashes really well- he has the best eyelashes!!! (don't tell him I called them pretty, he'd die!)

We finally got Nate a grill for Father's Day, and we had our first BBQ on Wednesday night. Nate makes some killer hamburgers, and we had the yummiest hotdogs EVER!! (they had CHEESE in them! mmmmmmmmmmmmm) The kids were excited to be watching Daddy grill again. I'm thinking this will have to be our new "usual" until the weather stops cooperating!!

Happy Summer Solstice and everything

this is how dark it got today- it was AWFUL, but I don't think this picture shows that very well.

look at my cute little BOY pushing his stroller

Hey Everybody- just wanted to wish you all a happy first day of Summer (a day late). We had the sun up ALL NIGHT. It's pretty darn fascinating if you ask me!! I'm totally going to miss this whole light summer thing when we move back. Up until today we have been enjoying some pretty hot temperatures! It got up to like 78 degrees yesterday, and we even got a little sunburn!! And before you think I sound stupid saying that that is hot- picture it that hot withOUT any AIR CONDITIONING!!!! All we have are these wimpy little fans to keep us "cool"! Our bedroom feels like a sauna since it's on the west side of the house and sees the most sun---it's up ALL NIGHT. So anyway- that's enough of my complaining- I sure don't envy your 100's temps, but this is REALLY hot to us!!!

So, today was pretty weird though. There was a fire up near Talkeetna (that's where we went for your flight, Dad- oh I forgot- you don't read this stuff), and apparently the smoke moved all the way down here over Anchorage. The sky was ORANGE this morning (when it is normally just daylight out) and then turned yellow and then stayed white for the WHOLE day- and it wasn't a nice, light white, it was a DARK, DREARY White. The darkest we've seen in a really really long time. Not to mention the kids couldn't even breathe without coughing when they were outside. It was crazy!!!! Anyway- yeah, this was as exciting as I could get today :) please forgive me- I will try to come up with something a little more exciting another day.

Cherry running through the sprinklers

I promised Cherry that we could run through the sprinklers when it got up to 70 degrees! (sorry mom, we had to change the rule a little for Alaska, or we would never be able to do it :) ) It got all the way up to 75 on saturday!!! So we did it! Swimsuits and all!

Cherry was talking to me and Nate about what tricks she was going to do next- she's so animated when she talks, and totally uses her hands!

Lukey playing in the water

Lukey was a little less anxious to get in the sprinklers this time- probably the naked tummy!

They stood there in the spray from the hose for a long time- just letting it wet their feet- they're so funny! Whose tummy's biggest? :)

I love this picture!!

Kelz

Kelz had a rough time getting into a swimsuit that didn't bug her, and then she spent most of the time running back inside to get more cherries :) so I only ended up getting this one picture of her- I don't think she even got wet :) but she had fun running around in her "swimsuit" with the other kids. She's a character.

Bubba runnin through the sprinklers

Bubba took his time getting used to the water

Bubba teaching his little bro how to jump off the rock

Jumping with style!

We went to the market and got some ice cream and Kelz was so funny eating her's.

Going, going......

GONE! (sort of :))

Lukey needed his hair cut SO BAD!! Daddy did a great job even though Lukey started getting restless toward the end.

Bubba got his hair cut too!! What a handsome little devil :) and he did SO GOOD!

Kelz wanted a picture of her too :)

and her new shoes- what a cute girl :)

Happy Father's Day!

Here's our cute little baby goslings!

We had a really great weekend. Friday, after Nate got home, we went on a little picnic to Cheney Lake, and we got to feed the ducks. The kids were so thrilled to see lots of little baby goslings there. We forgot the camera though.
Saturday we did the boys haircuts, and then went to the market. The weather was SO NICE and hot that we ran through the sprinklers, and played outside for a long time. After the sprinklers the kids were still talking about the baby goslings at the Lake, so we decided to go share our dinner with them again :) We took the camera this time :) Lukey managed to keep himself out of the water this time- so that was nice :) It was a really fun day!
On Sunday Kelly got to give a talk in Primary- her first one! She did such an AWESOME job!! She wasn't nervous at all- said all of her lines perfectly, and did it with a smile. I don't know why I thought she would get too nervous, but she sure showed me!! Next week she gets to do the prayer- I think we'll let her try it on her own!
I think Nate had an okay Father's day. Cherry Kelz and I woke up early and made a really yummy breakfast for Daddy (this was all cherry's idea), and then we made him some cards, and got him some utensils to use on his new grill!! The girls got to sing to him at church too. It was a fun Father's Day- we have the best daddy!!
Bubba has spent the last few days potty-training himself! He's almost done I think!! I say that he's doing it himself because he won't let me do anything. He insists on dumping his little potty into the big potty hiself though, so there's always a little something for me to do once he's gone :) I think I've cleaned the bathroom more times in the last 4 days than I have in my whole life (little bit of an exaggeration). But we're just THRILLED that he is almost done!
Hope you all had a nice weekend and great Father's Day!! Love you all!!

Lukey Falls Into Jewel Lake

Here he is, just doing his thing, throwing leaves, rocks, dirt, duck poop, whatever he can get his hands on, into the lake.

And more

And here he is- Having just fallen FACE FIRST into the lake. He leaned over too far trying to pick something up, and just face planted it right in the water (and mud, and duck poop, whatever was floating around). He looks so cute, all flustered :) water dripping down his face.

And here he is ready to go back for more! Wet clothes, muddy head and all!

This one should have been first, this was before the face planting incident. He's such a cutie, and he LOVES the water!

Jewel Lake Fishing

We decided to take a little last minute trip to Jewel Lake and let the kids try fishing- this is the same spot Kelz caught her fish last year, so she had pretty high hopes.

Unfortunately we didn't get so lucky.

Bubba's a born natural though- must run in the family- doesn't he look like a pro!

Cherry's looking pretty good too :)

I love these shots- fishin' with Dad in the distance-- well minus the football!

Swing tricks

In their sunday clothes and everything- how fun!!

Kelz is a crack up!

Cute Bubba faces :)

I took these of Bubba and I and I just LOVE his face! He's so adorable!

What a handsome little man!

Don't ya just wanna go "AWWWWW" He's so cute!!!!

(please don't let my chubby face detract from his cuteness :) Go ahead and crop me out if you have to :) I'M TOTALLY KIDDING!!!!)

Kelz and her new ponies

This is Kelz little teaparty ponies that she got for her birthday- she set them up all cute- I had to take a picture :)

And here's Kelz' picture of it- she took this one herself--pretty good for a 4 year old~
