Here's cute little Kelz holding her booties and waving.
"chout daddy- chout!!" Bubba telling daddy to watch out!
Cherry in her element- taking notes of what the dogs are doing so that she can go home and "be a sled dog"

Kelz, Cherry, and Daddy watching for the next mushers, having a yummy Barbeque in March
Our friends live right by the trail that the Iditarod racers take on their way to the starting line so they invited us to come have a barbeque and cheer on the racers with them. This was yesterday, after the ceremonial start, but the re-start takes place today (March 4th). It was pretty neat to see. There were 83 contestants, we were a little late because we were at our Primary Activity, but we saw the last 30 or so. The Mushers throw little dog booties out to the kids. I guess the dogs go through about 8 sets of booties through the whole race, so we got some of them as souvenirs (they smell like doggie doo-doo though). This is something we'll probably never see again, so we were pretty excited about it. The coldest barbeque we've ever been too as well.
If you don't know what the Iditarod is- you should read about it- there are some really neat pictures on www.iditarod.com too if you are interested.

Love the pictures. Your kids are so cute. I really have to show the pictures of the dogs to Adam. He really loves the movie "Eight Below" the story of a dog sledding team. Really appreciate seeing you all.
We'll have to bring him some of our dog booties :)
